“The cold fetish of new music has had its day,” says Matthias Kranebitter. And in his sound creations he is primarily interested in “a hyperactive, schizophrenic, shimmering media society and trash culture”. The young composer from Vienna, who is also internationally extremely successful, finds the “beauty of every form of authenticity” in the virtuoso handling of musical clichés, tonality or amateurish art forms (Youtube clips etc.). In “Fast forward. 20:21” he presents current works and the premiere of a work commissioned by ORF and Jeunesse: “fröhliche Relativität.” Presented by Jeunesse Austria in cooperation with ORF.
